Introduced in a striking double-cutaway silhouette with a Transparent White Flat finish, this BTB credits its exotic appearance to the ash top, while the body made of ash and okoume supplies rich sustain, a solid sound with thriving brightness, and an attack that makes sure no note goes unnoticed. The 5-piece maple/walnut neck-through construction leads to additional resonance and a smooth, seamless feel, while the neck's Graphite reinforcement rods provides excellent stability. Affixed to the neck is a bound panga panga fingerboard that exudes tight lows and snappy attack, housing the 35"-37" scale length that is segmented and fanned with 24 medium sized stainless steel frets.

Projecting the solid tone from the BTB are the T1 humbucker pickups found in the neck and bridge positions—a set of passive pickups that are suitable for many genres, producing a clear high-end, punchy mid-range, and a full-bodied, tight low-end. In addition to the tonality, this pickups are individually mounted for height dependent nuanced tone, with each pickup featuring rounded edges for comfort while playing, and the staggered, slightly offset positioningthat reflects the multi scale nature of the instrument. Ibanez utilizes their Custom electronics to dial in exciting tones with a wide array of controls—volume, balancer, boost/cut knobs for bass, mid, and treble—along with an EQ bypass and 3-way mid frequency switch.
